My name is Antoine, and I come from France. KAPLA has been a part of my life since I was a kid. My friends and I would spend hours building all sorts of intricate creations with Kapla blocks, having a blast and letting our imaginations run wild. KAPLA has had a significant impact on children in France since the 90’s, with a presence in almost every school, and many kids having their own KAPLA box at home.

The magic of KAPLA lies in its simple concept: uniform wooden planks that can be stacked on each other without the use of glue or clips – gravity, friction and balance do the job! But also, in its perfectly calibrated size and proportions, which allow for limitless building possibilities!

After a career in the finance industry, mostly spent in Hong Kong, I decided to take a big step and start my own venture in Taiwan. The idea for KAPLA workshops came to me while playing with my little niece in France. While KAPLA remains largely unknown in Taiwan, I believe it has the potential to be something special here. I wanted to create a way for kids and adults alike to enjoy the same creativity and joy I experienced.

That’s how Kapla Workshops Taiwan came to life. My goal is simple: to share the joy of KAPLA with as many people as possible. Whether in schools, at special events, or as team-building activities, I hope to make KAPLA a favourite pastime here in Taiwan.
